                                                                PCC is made up of two insurance claims specialists and former Loss Adjusters Michael Walsh and John O’Hanlon. Between us we have over 40 years experience handling all types of insurance claims either as employees, or in a consulting capacity, both here in Ireland and also worldwide. We also have recognized professional qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

We are registered to undertake insurance mediation under the European Communities (Insurance Mediation) Regulations, 2005 certified by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority(*). Other bodies we are members of comprise the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and the Association of Irish Risk Managers.

We offer Loss Assessing services to customers in respect of all types of losses or damage such as fire, theft, storm, escape of water / oil, flood, subsidence, business Interruption, impact damage, etc. If a business or private customer has a loss or damage, we survey and assess the damage / loss, prepare & formulate the claim ( either a bill of quantities or inventory as appropriate ), make a written submission to insurers, meet with and show the damage / loss to the insurers representative or Loss Adjuster if one is appointed, and negotiate settlement on the best possible terms.

We have the experience and knowledge to get the best possible settlement for our clients (within the scope of the cover provided by their policy) who may not have the time to be chasing / arguing the toss with insurance companies, meeting officials daytime hours, chasing trades people for estimates, or want the hassle of filling in forms / dealing with & trying to understand  insurance documentation / technical jargin.  In a nutshell we will get you a better settlement than you would dealing directly with the insurance company.

Our fee is reasonable and ranges between 5 and 10% according to the size of the claim and only becomes payable when our customers receive their cheque. In most buildings claims over a certain size, but not all cases, insurers will allow a supervision fee over and above the agreed repair figure. In other words a supervision fee is built into the settlement so our clients have sufficient funds to carry out any remedial work necessary, and the cost of our services do not  impact on what is required to restore the damage / make good the loss.

We also carry out value at risk surveys, offer advise on future cover, security, adequacy of sums insured and other risk improvement measures.
